Math, science and special education are consistently ranked among the highest-need shortage areas each year, while finances keep many people from entering the teaching profession. To address these issues, TEACH Connecticut is excited to offer our Shortage Area Scholarship program to award $5,000 scholarships to future STEM and special education teachers. Applicants will also have access to one-on-one career coaching and special events!

In order to be considered for the scholarship, you must:
- Be pursuing certification in Special Education or any STEM subject area (any science content area, technology education or math)
- Apply to one of our scholarship partner teaching programs.
- Plan to begin your teaching program within the next 12 months.
- Provide supporting documentation from the program you’ve applied to, such as an email, letter, receipt or confirmation page. Your documentation should include a date stamp to show you’ve applied.
Completing this form does not guarantee that you will win the scholarship. Winners will be chosen at random from all eligible submissions.
Submitting an application multiple times does not increase your chances of winning.
Scholarship winners will be contacted with next steps within 15 business days of the scholarship deadline. Due to overwhelming demand, we will not contact those who do not win the scholarship.
