This accelerated master’s degree program in education is catered towards teachers seeking professional development. This degree does not include a certification or an endorsement component.
University of Hartford, Montessori MEd
The Master of Education with a Montessori Concentration (MEd) at the University of Hartford is the only program located in the Northeastern United States, that combines Association of Montessori Internationale (AMI) teacher training at the early childhood and elementary levels with a graduate degree.

Sacred Heart University, 5-year Bachelor's and Master's of Arts in Teaching
The Five-Year Program is available to undergraduates who are interested in pursuing a professional career in teaching. This innovative program offers a bachelor's degree in an academic major, initial teaching certification and a master's degree. The program also includes a school-based experience where students will gain valuable knowledge and build professional relationships.
University of Bridgeport, Graduate-level Teacher Certification Program
The School of Education offers programs leading to master’s degrees and sixth-year certificates in elementary education, secondary education, educational administration and supervision, and remedial reading, as well as certification in many subject areas and school administration.

The Teacher Certification Program for College Graduates (TCPCG) is a full-time, one-year intensive master’s program that prepares college graduates to teach in a certification area.

The undergraduate Early Childhood Education (ECE) program prepares students to pursue careers in public and private schools, as well as childcare centers and community programs, teaching and caring for children in inclusive learning environments from birth to age eight.
University of Hartford, Secondary English or Math B.A.
The College of Arts and Sciences offers programs for students to earn a B.A. in English or Mathematics while also earning a certification to teach those subjects in grades 7-12. Students complete rigorous university coursework while also participating in fieldwork throughout the program.

Combining the rigors of conservatory training with a solid foundation in music education, the Music Education program prepares students for careers as music educators in elementary and secondary schools.

Teacher certification candidates gain valuable experience in the MAT program's tuition-paid, school-based experience. Participants are placed in one of our numerous partner school districts in the local area for one year, serving as instructional assistants and completing their student teaching, all while pursuing their coursework in evening classes.

University of Connecticut, Integrated Bachelor’s/Master’s Teacher Preparation Program
The Neag School offers a rigorous Integrated Bachelor’s/Master’s program designed to provide students with an optimum combination of experiences in which they can build content area knowledge; knowledge of teaching and learning; and the practical knowledge required to be a successful and effective teacher for all students. The program is a five-year, upper-division undergraduate program combined with a Master of Arts degree.
