This event highlights the national theme of “African Americans and Labor” by focusing on the historical and ongoing contributions of Black and African American educators in shaping education in the United States. As part of Black History Month, this discussion centers on the labor, advocacy, and dedication of African American educators, past and present, who have been pivotal in transforming classrooms, and schools, and advancing educational equity.
