The Role of Black and Latino Men in Education

This event will provide a supportive space for Black and Latino men who are current and aspiring educators to hear directly from five distinguished educators who will share more about their journeys. The speakers will offer personal and professional insights on navigating their identities in the education field along with covering a range of topics.
Speakers include:
- Chimere Stephens, Senior Director of Recruitment for New York City Public Schools as well as the Director of NYC Men Teach
- Cristian E Gallardo, Dallas ISD’s 2024 Teacher of the Year
- Jason Acosta, Deputy Senior Director of Diversity Recruitment for New York City Public Schools
- Mark A Joseph, Recruitment & Retention Coordinator, Call Me Mister
- The facilitator will be TEACH’s very own, Jeremy Davis, All-Regions Senior Program Manager
This event aims to facilitate meaningful dialogue, provide practical advice, and offer encouragement while connecting participants with others on a similar journey to the classroom and beyond.
