Our school-based programs include the Regional Center for the Arts, Six to Six Interdistrict Magnet School, School Readiness and an expansive special education program that includes seven programs. Our mission is to identify and provide quality education opportunities for educators, students, families and communities. It is our goal to provide innovative, cutting-edge programs and services to meet the demands of our member school districts and communities.
C.E.S. is one of six Regional Educational Service Centers (RESCs) in Connecticut and is a member of the RESC Alliance.
C.E.S. is a leader in teacher and leadership development in Connecticut. Each new teacher is assigned a mentor and meets weekly to receive the support necessary to become a high-quality educator. Professional development is ongoing and infused into classroom practice. As an RESC, C.E.S. provides high-quality, innovative professional development for teachers across the state. It's this unique access to innovative techniques and resources that makes teaching at C.E.S. exemplary. We maintain a variety of unique partnerships with our community, including The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk, NASA, the CT STEM Academy, the Quick Center for the Arts and many others.
