Lisbon Central School (LCS) is a school that encompasses PreK through eighth grade. The school’s enrollment is approximately 400 students. LCS reflects all that is good and positive about life and learning within the Lisbon community. 

Learning is nurtured within a warm and accepting environment that facilitates the development of optimal student potential. Individual differences are not only respected, but are embraced and celebrated. Creative thinking is fostered and highly valued. High academic standards are integral to the teaching and learning process, and accompanying strong student achievement levels are the result.   

Lisbon’s curriculum is based upon state and national guidelines with planned assessment and evaluation of its students’ cognitive and affective development. Content is relevant, ensuring progressive pedagogy. Academics, as well as moral, ethical and aesthetic qualities are cherished and fostered as the foundation for exemplary living and character development.
