Plainville Community Schools is located in Plainville, Connecticut. The Town of Plainville encompasses an area of 9.8 square miles and is located in Hartford County, midway between New Britain and Bristol, and 14 miles southwest of Hartford.
The school district serves approximately 2,400 students in preschool through grade 12. Plainville Community Schools includes three elementary schools, one middle school and one high school. The nine member Board of Education serves as the governing body for the school district. Our Strategic Plan guides the work of the school district with a focus on students, teaching and learning.
